The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals, medical students, and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR / AED and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
 

The AHA’s BLS Skills Session course is a hybrid option, designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. Students attending a BLS Skills Session must purchase and complete HeartCode BLS Online, sold separately: https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls

ACLS is an advanced course that builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR, and high-performance team dynamics. The ACLS Provider eBook or Manual is required (not included). Links to purchase book will be provided upon registration.

 
Heartsaver CPR AED is a non-medical certification, for anyone with little or no medical training who needs CPR AED training and a course completion card. The Heartsaver CPR AED course is taught in a blended learning format. Students must complete the online portion of the course prior to attending this skills session (sold separately > https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartsaver-cpr-aed-online)
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is a non-medical certification, for anyone with little or no medical training who needs First Aid and CPR AED training and a course completion card. This course is taught in a blended learning format. HHeartsaver First Aid is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs first aid training and a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. This course is taught in a blended learning format. Students must complete the online portion of the course prior to attending this skills session (sold separately at https://shopcpr.heart.org/) Direct link will be provided upon registration.

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED is intended for those involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This audience includes childcare workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for children’s sports organizations. This course is also ideal for parents, grandparents, extended family, babysitters, and guardians.  Prior to attending the skills session, students must complete Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Online (sold separately here https://shopcpr.heart.org/). Direct link will be provided upon registration.

 

Who Should Take This Course?   Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Online is for students who prefer to complete the program at their own pace at work, home, or wherever Internet access is available. This course is designed for workers in the commercial market who must receive training per OSHA standard 1910.1030 and also for anyone with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as: correctional officers, childcare workers, security guards, maintenance workers, school personnel, hotel housekeepers, health and fitness club staff, tattoo artists

Required Student Materials There are no additional materials required. 

Course Format and Exam  (1 hour)  Complete the online program at your own pace at work, home, or wherever Internet access is available. There is no skills test or demonstration required for completion of this course. There is an optional written exam if the employer requires an exam for completion.

Course Completion Card  (Valid for 1 year) Students can access downloadable Participation Certificate upon course completion.

The American Heart Association BLS Provider Skills Session

Course time: Online course approximately 2 hours.  Skills session Approximately 1.5 hours

What does this course Cover?

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
  • Important early use of an AED
  • Effective ventilations using a barrier device
  • Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

American Heart Association: Heartsaver Total First Aid/CPR/AED (adult/child) - Meets OSHA requirments.

Course time: 4.5 to 5 hours.

  • Perform high-quality CPR for a child
  • Demonstrate how to use an AED on a child
  • Describe when and how to help a choking adult or child

Emergency Care and Safety Institute First Aid/CPR/AED Online and Skills course.

Course time - 3 to 3.5 hours online course + 1.5 hour hands on skills session
