ECSI First Aid/CPR/AED Skills Session

Notes: Students MUST have completed the online course prior to the skills session date, and have a copy of their online course completion certificate to present to the instructor at the session. No one can participate in skills without their online course completion certificate.

Students should be in the training area 3 to 5 minutes before the start time to sign in.

Emergency Care and Safety Institute First Aid/CPR/AED Online and Skills course.

Course time - 3 to 3.5 hours online course + 1.5 hour hands on skills session

  • Describe how high-quality CPR improves survival
  • Explain the concepts of the Chain of Survival
  • Recognize when someone needs CPR
  • How and when to activate emergency response
  • Perform high-quality CPR for an adult
  • Give effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups
  • Demonstrate how to use an AED on an adult
  • Perform high-quality CPR for a child
  • Demonstrate how to use an AED on a child
  • Describe when and how to help a choking adult or child
